Does a Tarot Reading = Your Future?

I recently had a situation in a reading where the client came in, convinced I was a fortune teller.

Nope.  Sorry.  Not.

A Tarot reading in some ways is much like sitting down with a friend and talking through an issue.  Using a Tarot reading to ask about a situation can clarify in your own mind the myriad items surrounding the question; it can remind you of the strengths you bring to the situation, highlight some of the things you may wish to look out for, and certainly give a general sense of the energy surrounding the situation.  A detailed reading doesn't tell the future, but basically says "All things being unchanged, the energy supports this outcome".

Remember, however, that you and only you are in charge of your future.  Putting more effort in a certain direction, or changing the thought processes involved WILL change that future.  Simply sitting and letting things happen may work out, or it may not.  If I'm driving my truck down a steep road and don't take any action when we get to the bottom curve and I see an obstacle on the road, the outcome will certainly be different than if I take pro-active, evasive action.

A Tarot reading is much like a facilitator that eases you into an internal conversation with your own subconscious.  After all, YOU know the people involved, YOU know the issues, YOU know the past history that had an impact, etc.

Allow us to be your facilitator.   Book a reading today.

Card of the Day-8 of Pentacles

If the 8 of Pentacles appears in your tarot reading it can signal:

  • attention to detail
  • diligence
  • knowledge
  • skill
  • invention
  • creativity
  • determination
  • commitment
Just when you think you have it all under control the 8 of Pentacles is asking you to 'raise that bar' and work a bit harder.  Go for it.  You are at your peak.  All your creative juices are flowing and there is plenty of work available for you.  Growth and gain are yours.  Attention to detail is crucial.

Being forced to work, and forced to do your best, will breed in you temperance and self-control, diligence and strength of will, cheerfulness and content, and a hundred virtues which the idle will never know.

Card of the Day-The 4 of Swords

When the 4 of swords shows up in a tarot reading it can indicate that time is required for:
  • resting
  • taking a break
  • contemplating
  • preparing
  • focusing
  • dreaming
  • objectivity
  • meditation
  • introspection
Sometimes we can get caught up in the hustle and bustle of this 'fast paced' world we live in.  We can loose focus on what is important to us.  We forget the dreams and goals we had set for ourselves for the future.  We get lost in the 'need to have it all now' circus.

The 4 of swords can be telling you to slow down, to refocus on WHO you are.  Discover what it is you need to make you feel whole.  Rest.

I decided to take the message from The Fool and to go out and explore.
It was a day for adventure and we took the camera to capture the moment.

The Card of the Day-The Emperor

The Emperor

  • Leadership
  • Father Figure
  • Personal Power
  • Structure
  • Authority
  • Positive Force

The Emperor is a positive force and when he shows up in a reading there are some questions you can ask yourself.

Am I the leader in this situation and if so am I acting as The Emperor would?
Is there structure in my life as this time or am I 'winging it'?
Am I in control of my life?
Should I be asking for advise?

The Emperor has 'been there and done that'.  He has gained much wisdom in his years.  He has created a kingdom and has the power and authority to control that kingdom.

Should you be acting as The Emperor would at this time or should you be seeking the advise of The Emperor?

Card of the Day- 5 of Wands

5 of Wands

When the 5 of  Wands shows up in your readings it is an indication of:

  • Hassles
  • Disagreements
  • Competition
  • Debate
  • Contrast
  • Disorganization
  • Struggle
  • Participation
  • Brainstorming
When discussing issues with others, do you spend more time trying to get your point across then listening to their point of view.  Do you always need to be right?   When the 5 of Wands shows up it could be asking you to try a different approach.  Sometimes listening to others with patience and understanding will allow them to do the same for you.

The suit of Wands is all about creativity, aggressiveness, enthusiasm, power and passion.  When the 5 of Wands is in your reading be aware that creative forces are at work here.  You get too many wands together in a room and the sparks will fly but rest assured--things will get done!
