Card of the Day-The Tower

The Tower

When The Tower shows up in a tarot reading it could be signifying:

  • Sudden change
  • Upheaval
  • Fall from grace
  • Downfall
  • Revelation
  • Release
  • Blind-sided
  • Total loss of control
The Tower is one of the scariest tarot cards to get in a reading.  If all is going well in life, no one likes change.  The type of change The Tower brings is one that can hit us in the gut.  This change is so unexpected and unwanted that it actually knocks us down a peg or two.  Should we have seen this coming?  Sometimes, yes!  We were just fooling ourselves and hiding from the truth.  Other times, no! We were totally blind-sided and didn't see it coming.  Still, there is a lesson to be learned here and remember, a loss of something in your life opens up new opportunities for your future.

Card of the Day- The Two of Swords

The Two of Swords

  • Trust
  • Choice
  • Balance
  • Decisions
  • Restoring peace of mind
  • Partnership
  • Blocked emotions
  • Hiding from the facts
  • Avoidance
Sometimes in a tarot reading the Two of Swords can represent blocked emotions.  A time when you are hiding from the facts, the truth of a situation.  At times we feel it is easier to ignore troubling issues then to face them head on.  We close our eyes and hope for the best.

Other times, the Two of Swords can represent a balance in your life.  Take the time to block everything out, close your eyes and calm yourself.  Restore to yourself the peace that will be required to carry on.  Balance your life so all aspects are getting their fair share.

Card of the Day-Ten of Wands

The Ten of Wands

The 10 of Wands can mean:

  • burdened
  • overextended
  • harvest
  • shielding
  • oppression
  • responsibilities

When the Ten of Wands shows up in your tarot reading you should ask yourself:

What am I shielding myself from?
Have I overextended myself in some way?
Is there something blocking my vision?
Have I 'bitten of more than I can chew'?

Remember, if you feel like you have taken on too much or are carrying too much of a load-delegate!  It's OK to ask for help.  It could be a time for you to re-organize.  Clearly, things are not perfect the way they are, BUT they could be.  Re-think and re-organize the issues in your life that are weighing you down.

Can a tarot reading tell me my future?

The answer to this question is---no.

You, and only you, are in control of your future.

Tarot readings can give you a glimpse of the energy that is surrounding you at this time and in the future.  What you do with this energy is up to you.  For example, let's says the ace of swords shows up in your reading in the position of the present.  (Remember an earlier post on the Ace of Swords:
  • An epiphany
  • Best idea yet
  • Crowning glory
  • Idea drawn from passion
  • Focus
  • Clarity
  • Insight
  • Original thinking
  • moment of birth (of an idea)
  • Action
  • Vision
This is the moment when the light bulb goes on over your head. )

So, the light bulb goes on-GREAT!  But if you don't do anything about it nothing will happen.  Remember, you, and only you, are in control of your future.  Tarot readings are there to guide you and sometimes to give you that gentle push towards what 'can be'.

If you would like to see what energy is there for you email Wendy or Gail at:

Card of the Day-The Hierophant

The Hierophant

  • Education
  • Religion
  • Marriage
  • Group Identification
  • Conforming
  • Tradition
  • Law
  • Respect
  • Ceremony
When The Hierophant shows up in your reading it could be asking you to look closely into your spiritual and religious beliefs.  Are these beliefs helping or hindering you?  Are you too committed and disciplined with your beliefs that you don't listen to others?  Are you lacking in spiritual growth and searching for something to identify with?

The Hierophant could also be asking you if now is the time to conform to the rules, to fit it or to do what is expected and go along with the program.

Will The Hierophant show up in your reading? Email Gaylle or Wendy today for a tarot reading.

Card of the Day-Seven of Pentacles

Seven of Pentacles

This feeling of security you are having and the feeling you are 'one the right track' is good.  It's OK to take time to relax and assess 'where you are' concerning your goals.  Don't take too much time daydreaming about it though, there is still work to be done.  :)

The 7 of Pentacles can mean:

  • reflection
  • assessment
  • daydreaming
  • reward
  • focus
  • contemplation
  • re-examining
  • wishful thinking
How does the 7 of Pentacles fit into your day?

Walking Down the Path of the 3 of Swords

The heart is a symbol of affection, love and joy.  It can also represent conscience, truth and courage.
Clouds are a symbol of 'clouded' vision or confusion.  Clouds could also indicate a revelation or epiphany.  That sudden moment when all becomes clear.  Notice the clouds clearing on the 3 of swords.

Taking these symbols into consideration, if the 3 of swords shows up in your reading it could be asking you:

What truths are you hiding from?
In this situation, am I being honest with the people I am close to?
Am I being honest with myself?
Can I learn any lessons from the pain I am feeling right now?
How do I see the problem clearly?
What is the heart of the problem?

The 3 of swords can indicate a time of:
  • loss
  • separation
  • sorrow
  • loss of balance
  • disharmony
  • disruption
  • heartbreak
  • betrayal
How will you handle the 3 of swords in your life?

  • passion
  • trust
  • communication
The Lovers card can also be an indicator of:

  • health

When The Lovers card shows up in a reading it is a reminder to follow your heart.  Your special someone may very well appear if you relax and let your heart guide you.

Temperance

Temperance is the 14th major arcana tarot card.  When Temperance shows up in a reading it is a gentle poke to remind you about:
  • Balance
  • Moderation
  • Blending
  • Fluidity
  • merging
  • softening
Too much of something is not always a good thing.  Temperance is reminding you about moderation and balance.  For example,  working 15 hours a day and not spending any time with family and friends shows a lack of balance and moderation.  Temperance shows you a time of blending is needed.  You can have it all but a little re-arranging is required.  Temperance can also be reminding you of the balance needed between your material life and your spiritual one.

Is your life in need of balance and moderation?
