The Hermit is a message to you that it is time to slow down.  Take some time for yourself to assess where you are in life and where you want to be.  Are you living your life in accordance to your beliefs?  Time alone will help you to find out if you are on the right path or show you another path you didn't know existed.  Listen to your heart not what others are trying to tell you.  Don't be bullied into something that isn't YOU.

Every second you spend looking for something outside yourself is another second you spend away from you true self. --Michael Jeffreys
