Tarot Horoscope-January 9-January 15

Here is your tarot horoscope for the week starting- Monday, January 9 to Sunday, January 15


This week for the horoscope I am using the Legacy of the Divine Tarot by Ciro Marchetti.  I love his artwork!   Check his artwork at the end of this post or on his website.

Aries:  You seem hesitate to be adventurous-to be the leader.  Bring out the strength that is in you and use it to take control.  It is your moment to show people what you are made of and what you can do.
  

Taurus:  If you have suffered a loss of some kind hanging on too tightly to what you have left is not the answer.  Let yourself grieve for your loss or for what didn't go right in your life and try to move on.

Gemini:   Get some sleep.  Recharge your batteries.  People are depending on you and this is not the time to let them down.  There are places to go and people to see so rest up and then 'get a move on'.

Cancer:   Strength will be needed this week and strength you will have.  You will have an inner balance and control that will radiate from you.  Your gentle persuasion will win the day.  

Leo:  You are blocking from yourself the energy and power that is needed this week.  The energy for personal power and leadership are around you.  Grab this positive energy and let it work for you.

Virgo:  Time to take a little break and celebrate this wonderful time in your life.  You have gain some success now enjoy it before you move on to the next level.

Libra:  You will have the strength this week to conquer everything that comes your way.  Your battles will be won using your inner strength and with a soft control that leaves no one hurt or saddened.

Scorpio:  Don't give up on your dreams.  The stars shine down on you radiating love and hope.  Know that the energy surrounding you at this time only wishes good things for you.  Keep dreaming your dreams and strive to make them come true.

Sagittarius:  This is not the time for you to hide from the world.  Get out there and show everyone who are are and what you are all about.  This is your week.

Capricorn:  Don't loose your power of concentration.  This week attention to detail is important but you may have a hard time keeping yourself on the right track.  Eat right and get a good night's sleep so you'll be able to face the days ahead.

Aquarius:  The week all your hard work is going to start paying off.  Your success doesn't have to stop there though.  Keep your 'eye on the prize' and the pay off may get better and better.

Pisces:  Don't hesitate!  It's time to move on.   Remember, endings bring beginnings.  Let go and see where your new beginning will take you.

Tarot Reading for 2012

So, it's a Saturday night and being the tarot enthusiast I am I have decided to spend my night with my tarot cards. :)   I thought, since it is the New Year, that it would be interesting to do a reading on 2012. I would like to know what energies are 'hovering around' and get a general overall feeling for the year ahead.

7 of Pentacles-The 7 of Pentacles to me is about assessing where you are in life.  Taking the time to think about how far you have come, where you are now and where you want to be in the future.  Seeing this card in the reading speaks to me of change.  Look at all we have but at what price?   We all know that change is needed in the world but how do we go about it?  We assess. We plan.  We take the time to see what changes are needed.  How did we get here?  How can we change the mistakes that have been made? 

8 of Cups-The 8 of Cups' energy is about moving on yet leaving something behind that held emotional attachment.  Being an intuitive tarot reader my first thought when I saw this card was that we need to 'find a better way' to exist on this planet.  If we continue the way we are there won't be much left.  We must move on-leave behind us this way of life we are used to and have grown accustomed to.  Take with us our knowledge and find a better way.  The 7 of Pentacles' energy for assessing will be a success. Change is on the way. 

6 of Wands-The 6 of Wands speaks to us of pride, accomplishments, victory, valour and success.  What a wonderful card for year 2012.  Our hard work with the energy of the 7 of Pentacles and the 8 of Cups will pay off.  What will we accomplish this year?  How exciting.

The Sun-The Sun, being a major arcana card, is a big deal.  :)  It brings to us the energy of success, partnership, warmth, energy, growth, optimism and a new outlook.  Wow.  In year 2012 it sounds like we are going to make some real progress.  A new outlook and optimism.

A Different View of the Tarot Court Cards

Each of us while learning the Tarot Court Cards (they're the Page, Knight, Queen & Kings of the deck) starts with a basic viewpoint.  That may be to use them simply as a person, where sometimes sex and age comes into play.  Sometimes they are used for movement or time, as in the motion of the Knights, and sometimes to herald messages, as the Pages do.

I'd like to offer another way to use them especially within the context of an issue that doesn't need any of the above.  Use the Page through King cards as an indication of where the issue 'is'.   For instance, if the question is about a legal issue and if it's near resolving, a Page would indicate that it was near the beginning or start of the issue still while a Knight would indicate that the case was still gathering information, the Queen might indicate that it was all coming together, and a King would indicate that it was very close to completion.

In another example, perhaps on a question of whether one was going to be buying a house soon, a Page would indicate that one was still in the early stages of that process, while a King might indicate that the search phase was close to completion if not already complete.

We also feel strongly that Aces and Pages would reinforce each other when using the Court Cards in this way.

Aries:    It's time to stop hiding your true self from the world.  This year is your year to shine.  Make this first week of the year a time to focus on your new beginning.  

Taurus:  You have accomplishments that are worth being proud of so don't hide them.   Enjoy this week of victory and success and the pride of sharing these successes with others.

Gemini:   Everyone needs time to themselves at some point and this week is that week for you.  Time for introspection is important before you tackle the year ahead.

Cancer:  Take time this week to see where you are financially.  Hold off on any big purchases until the holidays bills are taken care of.

Leo:  Like Cancer, Leo's week is all about finances.  Start this year off right financially by taking the time to assess where you are and set goals for the year ahead.

Virgo:  A new chapter in your life is waiting for you but before you take that challenge enjoy how far you have come.  Take time to celebrate and enjoy the people around you.

As you can tell from my tardiness in posting,  these tarot horoscopes are not computer generated but are performed 'real time'.  The tarot deck I used for these readings was the Tarot of Dreams by Ciro Marchetti.  It was interesting to me the amount of times the suit of Cups came up in these readings.  Cups can represent intuition, love and emotions.  What a wonderful suit to show up for the holiday season.

Aries:   This is a week of go, go, go.  You are so busy trying to 'wrap up the year' that you are not paying attention to what is going on around you.  Because of this focus you may misinterpret what someone has said and your feelings may get hurt.  Take time to see the situation clearly before you react.  

Taurus:  It's all about you this week.  You are focused and driven.  You have one thing and one thing only on your mind and 'pity the fool' who gets in your way.  Remember the feelings of others as you race through your week.
