The Hermit

This major card is one of my favourites.  It's just good card to show up at any time in your life.

Time to go within - time to reassess what you're doing and ask youself if it's working for you or not.   Is the path you're currently on going to land you at the results you want? 

Basically, take the time to discover your 'within' need and allow yourself the time to plan for the outcome you wish, either spiritually, intellectually or physically.

A Question of Destiny

I recently had a question about the path a young woman was taking, and the reading centered around the first two cards up - the Four of Cups and The Priestess.  Here's where I took this.

She's currently in stasis - in a wait mode.  The stability that she had most recently achieved was threatening to halt her progress completely unless she could get herself past her current state of inertia.

So the solution for her was to go within - the Priestess asks that she take her path into the spiritual enlightenment realm as a means to help make her true path clear.   It was clear that the cards didn't want her to simply jerk herself out of her current state into a period of frantic movement.  They were calling for careful consideration, with quite possibly some higher intervention to help her through.

She was clearly relieved with the assessment (which included, obviously more than just the above two cards) because it gave her some direction.

Whispering Path at Half Mast

And by that, we mean that half of the Whispering Path team is on vacation.  That's right, Wendy is headed off to England to visit her sister, leaving me in charge.  oooOOOOOHAHAHahaha.

Just kidding.   No biggie - Wendy held down the fort in February while I was away so it's my turn :)

We'll still be available for readings individually (Wendy can work via Skype or Gmail's version of Skype), and I'm available of course with both of the above, and in person.

A Little Change-Up

Although Tarot is usually used for questions about romance, finances, relationships, moves, or career, there's another aspect in life a little less used, and that's health!

If you're looking for answers to health questions, you can of course use any Tarot deck, or you can us a specialty deck such as the Osho Zen Tarot.

Know that questions about health do NOT work if they can be answered yes or no.  As readers, we're often asked about questions of health either for the querent or for one of their relatives.  We like to pull cards into a layout that talks about the issues around the health question - the people or situations that support a good outcome, and the issues or hangups that hinder a good outcome.

And for goodness sake, if you're a beginner, do NOT look at the Death card as death!  Geesh.   The Death card in a health reading might indicate a change in health, or it might indicate a change NEEDED to be made to take charge of one's health.

Just remember to ask questions about health that cannot be answered simply with a yes/no.
